Projects Before 22.12.2014:

Projects already granted consent will not be affected by the High Court's judgment dated 06.03.2024.

Pending Projects:

Projects that have applied for consent under the exemption category prior to 06.03.2024 will continue to be processed based on existing rules.

New Projects Post 06.03.2024

New projects, including industrial sheds, schools, colleges, and hostels, must now obtain Environmental Clearance from the State Environmental Impact Assessment Authority (SEIAA) before applying for consent from the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board (TNPCB).
